I started my own business and worked with a verify of clients but mostly athletes and those with health issues. I bought a Fitness Together franchise and nearly lost everything. To be fair though many have been successful with them.
I believe anyone interested in having there own business better understand their strengths and weakness as far as selling and promotions go. Their system did not fit with my personality but if it does yours it could b e great.
I have moved into the health business to help with my promotions in training to work with more health related clients. This gives me more knowledge and possibilities foe promotions.
I think we should think about where our expertise are and work within those guidelines first. If a franchise meets within those possibilities then great. If not, then plan to do it all on your own.
They do have the advantage of promoting expertise, but look around at advertising and see what you can do on your own. If you do it with a franchise or on your own, you will pay the cost.
I hope this helps.

I would like to know who has started their own businesses from the ground, and who has bought a franchise. Which has worked out better? Which do you prefer? Which has allowed artistic freedom, and which is profitable? I have a lot of ideas that I need to rope in for future endeavors, so any advice is much appreciated!
